My Mama loves Fire King Jadite. We have been picking up pieces for her here and there for years at yard sales. I would guess she has maybe 100 items now. It looks lovely on display. Once in a while we buy something that coordinates with it to go in her kitchen. Last year it was an old Hamilton Beach Milkshake Maker. I occasionally browse things that color to see what I can find her. Last week I was poking around eBay and found the most amazing auction. It is absolutely stunning. I thought I would share it with you. The winning bidder paid a whopping $750 for this 1940's Green Bakelite Radio.
It incorporates so many things I like - vintage, simplicity, bakelite, deco. Old radios do well on eBay. They don't usually do as well as that beautiful green one as it is super rare. But most are worth listing if you find them at yard sales. They don't necessarily have to be in working condition to sell as most are just displayed by collectors.
