Free Video Games & Shopping For Resale

Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force Collector's Edition BundleAs many of you have read, I have two boys. They love video games. Last fall when Amazon began to gear up for Christmas the Deal of The Day started getting better. One day they had a DSi game my boys had asked for at $10! I looked on eBay and they were much higher. So I bought several, with free shipping. I sold enough right away to pay for the one for the kids. The last one sold this week for $29.99, which is also the current price on Amazon. I have done this with at least one game every year the last few years.

Lenox Chicken Little's Big Christmas Surprise OrnamentI also bought about 30 Lenox ornaments for $2. I have sold nearly all of them, at $9.99 each. Not a huge profit margin, but they are easy to pack and ship. One listing/description for a lot of sales.

Awesome Auction - Drooling Over This One!

Bakelite Radios: A Fully Illustrated Guide For The Bakelite Radio EnthusiastMy Mama loves Fire King Jadite. We have been picking up pieces for her here and there for years at yard sales. I would guess she has maybe 100 items now. It looks lovely on display. Once in a while we buy something that coordinates with it to go in her kitchen. Last year it was an old Hamilton Beach Milkshake Maker. I occasionally browse things that color to see what I can find her. Last week I was poking around eBay and found the most amazing auction. It is absolutely stunning. I thought I would share it with you. The winning bidder paid a whopping $750 for this 1940's Green Bakelite Radio.

It incorporates so many things I like - vintage, simplicity, bakelite, deco. Old radios do well on eBay. They don't usually do as well as that beautiful green one as it is super rare. But most are worth listing if you find them at yard sales. They don't necessarily have to be in working condition to sell as most are just displayed by collectors.
