Vintage Aprons Are Fun To Collect

These charming vintage aprons were in that estate sale closet I wrote about earlier. I love to look at them. They make me think of grandmothers, homemade jelly, and simple living. While I was musing about the good old days my oldest son said "Cool - old capes!" and promptly tied one around his neck and  pretended to fly across the living room.

I guess the good old days for them will be remembering dial-up internet & DVD's.

Item to Watch For - Kelly's Kids

This is a brand you want to watch for. Cute items, higher end. My mom stopped at a yard sale and picked up a bunch of outfits. I listed 25 of them yesterday, and have already received an offer on one. Click here to see the listings.

* Update* - I have now had approx. $132.00 in sales. Our cost was $40 for all of it. Even after you subtract the selling fees I am still doing well. I still have 16 items listed and maybe 4 more to get put on. I LOVE yard sales :)

Check out the neat post on yard sale finds on Debbiedoos blog too!

Vintage Jack Hartley Dress

I am in love with this dress. It is my size. I tried it on, and whirled around. I quickly realized if I kept it my Mama would tell me I am too old to pull off vintage as trendy. So I whirled around a while then took it off & got it ready to go into my eBay store. It is a lovely 1970's Jack Hartley. It was in that closet full of stuff I bought at the estate sale. Click here to see the listing.

Anything Limoges Is Beautiful

Here are two beauties from the estate sale. See why I couldn't resist bidding?
This one is the largest, and the most collectible. It is marked Blackman & Henderson, Limoges France. It is also signed by the artist, Bourny. When I was checking sales prices I found one in a Ruby Lane store for $595. I wondered how long it had been sitting there. How many people do you know that can spend $600 on a bird plate in this economy? I listed mine for $199 with the "make offer" option. I would be thrilled with that, and happy with less. Click here to see the listing.

This one is a little smaller, and has a little wear around the rim. Does anyone know what kind of bird it is? It is signed Barbel, and is made by Coronet, Limoges, France. I listed it for $149 with the "make offer" option. Click here to see the listing.

These were the two more expensive items I bought. I usually buy bargain items - there is less risk. I checked completed auctions before I bid.
