Flea Market Find - Camark Climbing Cat Pitcher
I love to find Camark pottery pieces when I am out junking. The factory was located in Camden, Arkansas. They produced beautiful pottery from 1926-1965. Most of the time I seem to find plain pitchers & vases. This one was a treat!
The climbing cat series is very collectible. This is the first pitcher I have found. There aren't any currently on eBay & I haven't seen this color listed in a long time. Worthpoint says there was one of this color sold in 2005 but I am not a subscriber so I don't know how much it sold for. It will be hard to let this one go, as I love it. I just have too many treasures, though. I will be listing it Tuesday night on eBay for those of you that like to watch. It is in great condition too! The small glaze miss on the one shoulder shouldn't be a big deal as it has no cracks or chips etc.

I've never seen anything like it...pretty cool looking.
Thanks for sharing,

I would love to have this piece, because I am a cat lover. I am sure our one income household could not afford it right now though.
Lovely! I have one Camark cat -- it's a really cute little guy playing, and it's a short vase, in periwinkle blue!
How cute! Wow, I wonder how much it will sell for. I will be watching to find out.
That jug is beautiful. Love it even more considering my own cat is grey!
I will be watching it too! might have to drop a bid too! Cheers and thanks for linking up to the Penny Worthy Project
Wow, that is an amazing pitcher. good luck in selling it. I am sure there are some cat lovers out there that will just have to have this.
Oh my! What a gorgeous piece! I am jealous!
Do you collect Niloak also? I think of them as sister potteries.
I love the cat and will check her out on ebay! Best of luck!
I love reading all of your comments, & have replied to each of you who isn't using an anonymous email. Thanks so much for visiting. Oh Miss Pamm - Niloak is also made here in AR but I don't find as many pieces. I do like it though.
That's an absolutely beautiful piece!
