Isn't this pretty? Y'all know I love vintage glass! This is a covered compote or candy dish. I believe it is Westmoreland, but that is going on my (sometimes faulty) memory. I think it is beautiful. I picked it up a few days ago while out shopping.
Would you like to win it??????
On Sept 1st a winner will be chosen at random by entering the number of entries into random.org. To enter do one or more of the following, then post a comment saying which. If you do more than one (for additional entries) leave a separate comment for each. If you post as anonymous don't forget to post your email address so I can contact you if you win. USA only please.
What a lovely glass dish! I would gift it to my sister and she would put candy in it for our 93 year old dad who loves candy... Many thanks, Cindi jchoppes[at]hotmail[dot]com
I would put candy in it for everyday...and then beautiful vintage Christmas ornaments for Christmas decorating. Thanks for the giveaway! cathyb4@yahoo.com
Am now your google friend tried to subscribe to your email but got a message that you did not have it enables. I remeber my Aunt Mill had a dish just like in on her vanity and kept rings in it. She was really a fashionista. I would like to have this on my coffee table fulled with Godiva chocolates.
I would definitely use this to store candy! I love vintage anything, and especially glass. And being hypoglycemic, it will be nice to have something pretty to hold my emergency candy stash!! tyrodriguez92@gmail.com
I would display this with the other vintage pics that I have. Not sure if I would put something in it, but if I did, maybe some ribbon candy. (Am I the only one that likes those?) jujubee676 at msn.com
I would put non-pereils in the dish. Another idea is for it to hold the ends of thread after I cut them off doing cross stitch, all the different colors would be very pretty. rilekat at gmail dot com
My grandmother had one just like it. She would put mints in it for guest and during the holidays, she would put tootsie rolls in it for the kids. Great memories. I would do the same with it. - Like on FB
I would put after dinner mints in it. One of my early memories as a child was that my Mom had a candy dish similar to this and would always have after dinner mints in it. We, as children, knew not to touch it unless we had permission. I would love to carry on that tradition in my own family. I can't believe I had forgotten! This blog giveaway brought all of it flooding back again!
