Fun Yard Sale Finds From The Weekend

There were just a few sales in my area today. We found a few minor things - a Fire King Frog mug, two new/boxed items that will be Christmas gifts. Nothing special, and I was regretting getting up/out. Then we hit the motherload! It was at the very last sale. Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, etc for .75 each, a floor rug for $10, a toaster oven for $2, some designer jeans, purses for $1 each, a NWT sundress for $1,  NWT leather coat for $5, and......this fabulous bunk bed!

It has bookshelves on one side, & a desk on the other. A set of small built in drawers one one side and a large separate matching chest of drawers. I wanted one last year for the boys but when I started shopping around I was shocked to see them priced at $1000-$2000 in stores! No way I was paying that much. I bought a perfectly serviceable set of bunk beds from another mom I know whose children outgrew theirs. There was no desk, no bookshelves etc. but the price was right. But today, when I saw the pictures of THIS one at the yard sale I WANTED IT. She said she was asking $300. It didn't take me long to say SOLD! Here is a picture taken just after we got it set up (but before I made the beds, sorry.) I don't like bunk mattresses so I put theirs on it, & my Dad added the safety rail at the top from the old set we had. My kids are thrilled. I will probably put the old on in our yard sale or  put it on Craigslist.
