I am always tying to figure out what to do with the leftovers when I buy things by the table full at auctions. There are good usable items that won't sell on eBay due to shipping costs. Yardsales are one way, but you have to store it, price it, and spend all day haggling.
I have mentioned before that I sell in local groups on Facebook. It is a good way to get rid of big stuff like furniture or small dollar items. There are groups for most areas, just search by your county or city. Last week I started using Yardsellr too. It attaches to your Facebook account. You can choose to allow local pickups, ship, or both. There are NO seller fees. The buyer pays a small fee. Yeehaw! You can also import your eBay and Etsy listings. They will send you a check or you can take Paypal. I chose a check, no fees at all for me that way.
I put a few things on to check it out. 7 or 8 initially. It takes just seconds to list. I sold one pretty quickly so will be adding more. You can choose to pay for "boosts" to bring more traffic but I chose not to, wanting a completely free place to sell for a change. If you want to check it out there is a link to my stuff on my facebook page,
or click here. At this time there are no benefits for referrals except some stupid points program called photons, which are points that you can use towards purchases. These seem to disappear as soon as you get them so I hope they discontinue that. It looked confusing at first. It is the only part of the site I didn't like.
As long as it is free I plan to list lower end items to help get that stuff out of here. Have any of you used it successfully?
