Chaos Rules, Junk Abounds!

The rain was gone by the time the auction started yesterday. It all worked out very well though. There weren't many buyers at all. I actually felt sorry for the auctioneer as they didn't make much money. I have been when everything went sky high also. Just the luck of the draw.

We spent $334.50 and tightly packed an SUV and a 4 door pickup truck inside and out. There was barely room for us to drive home. Among the treasures bought was a huge lot of costume jewelry. A lot of it is signed. There were also several pieces of sterling silver and a beautiful gold necklace!  I think all the jewelry in the bin was just $50 & was the most expensive thing I bought. There are many decorator items, including lamps, vases, flowers, bowls, etc. A fax machine, microwave, printer, toaster oven, an entire table of nice table clothes and napkins, a set of Frankoma dishes, a set of Metlox dishes, a metronome, a box of Asta cookware, a bunch of metalware that looks like Arthur Court but is another brand, glassware, Nippon, lead crystal, & I don't know what all else yet. I sorted through it until about 1am then went to bed. Home school this morning and work my nursing job from 3/11 today & tomorrow. I will have to start on it again on Wednesday.

Want a peek? TOTAL mess but here it is all piled up. WARNING: Auction buying is not for those with OCD! The mess is quite overwhelming until you get it sorted and put away:

How exciting to have those treasures to discover. I would love to be able to do that. I have never been to an auction though. And I have a tiny house that can't store much else.

I love how you said you can't have OCD!! So true. I don't think anyone can be OCD and enjoy re-selling "treasures"...could be wrong...I always think that when I'm knee deep in Polly Pocket and Barbie items!!

OOOOH I forgot about all the barbie stuff that was in there! Two tubs of stuff for $15 I think. Lots of clothes, furniture I think. And "knee deep" is right lol! Thanks for all the comments. Veronica - my house isn't very big either. I just make it fit. Sort of. lol!

Wow..you must be very organized. I still have a room in the basement with boxes and boxes and boxes of unsorted, unlisted ebay inventory that stresses me out like crazy..I don't think I could do this either. I'm not very organized by nature and would be totally overwhelmed, I think! :)

Awesome! I'm so envious. You're going to have fun going through all of that. :-)
